Every rule in the guide comes from a failed image, measured and fixed. The numbers are ours: the vignetting that ranged from +40% to −68% across images, the 16 credits spent where 0.96 would have done.
In French, and that matters
The guides that exist are in English. The vocabulary of makeup, light and material doesn't translate well — and that is exactly where realism is won or lost.
